#13: Richard Nixon
Certain presidents of the United States are better known than others. Generally speaking, this is the result of either specific campaigns, relationships, or even scandals that occur during their time in office. You know what they say, any publicity is good publicity… However, when it came to Richard Nixon, that wasn’t necessarily the case.
After being elected the 37ths president of the United States from 1969-1974, the American people had high hopes for their president. And with an IQ of 142.9, his many stints representing the American people in several government departments, and having played a key role in ending the Vietnam war, people were grateful to him. Even though he was popular, the Watergate Scandal played too big of a role in his demise, and he remains the only president to ever resign.
