#1: Franklin D. Roosevelt (1933-1945)

Historians really praise Franklin D. Roosevelt for being super popular and for caring a lot about fairness in the economy. When he became president during the Great Depression, he famously said, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself,” which helped calm people down.
