#7: The Book of Mormon Printer’s Manuscript (1829)
Oliver Cowdery handwrote this copy of Joseph Smith’s dictated text in 1829, and it guided the typesetting of the first printed edition. It is the earliest surviving copy of roughly 72 percent of the text. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints purchased it from the Community of Christ in September 2017 for $35 million, the highest price ever recorded for a manuscript at that time.
