Star Crossed Lovers
Aladdin, although a Disney film, is rather similar to the romance shared between Romeo and Juliet due to the whole ‘society isn’t going to tell us that we can’t be together’ shtick. But when you are just two teenagers, flying through the sky on a magic carpet, reason tends to also fly out the carpet window. Thankfully to this Twitter user we are once again reminded just how reckless teenagers can actually be.
If you think about it, Aladdin and Jasmine only knew each other for the duration of the film itself – which give or take was around 120 minutes. And yet, she was open to the idea of leaving her entire life behind to go on an adventure with a complete stranger. Forget about romance – talk about stranger danger! Something about this being a cartoon makes you feel less nervous for the pair, but if this was real life, things would go down a little differently.
