Servers exchange tips to keep salaries down.
We usually tip the servers, with the opinion that the tip is going to the only server that has served us all evening and has been running to and from the kitchen, without taking a break, but I guess we are wrong. The tip we give to those servers not only goes to that particular waiter but is split among all the servers working at the restaurant or on that particular floor of the restaurant.
This is especially the case when more than one worker is there to make your evening memorable. This means that next time we tip a server, we have to be considerate and tip accordingly. A few cents or some dollars may not be adequate enough.
