#17: Dropping Cringe-Worthy Pick-Up Lines
From quips like, “I hope you know CPR because you just took my breath away,” to questions like, “Are you a parking ticket? Because you’ve got fine written all over you,” corny icebreakers were commonly used but rarely successful. They were more likely to induce an eye roll than a smile. We knew this going in, of course, but we said them anyway. Because, when it came down to it, saying something to a crush typically felt better than saying nothing at all.
