#9: Overanalyzing Every Word Before Speaking
Overanalyzing language is a response to anxiety and fear and a common habit when you’re in full-blown puppy love. When speaking to a crush, it was only natural to want to put the best and wittiest foot forward; thus, we chose every word carefully. The last thing we wanted was to reveal that we wrote Cagney and Lacey fan fiction, still slept with a nightlight, or thought the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Blind Melon were things found in the produce aisle at the local supermarket.
