#10: Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II
Elizabeth met Philip, a prince of Greece and Denmark, in 1934, and they married in 1947. When she became queen in 1952, Philip stepped into a supporting role that required him to set aside his naval career. They had four children and carried out thousands of public engagements together. Philip founded the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in 1956 to encourage youth development. Their marriage lasted over 73 years until he died in 2021.
