Discrimination
The argument on whether or not Faith should have gotten expelled entered new territory when it was proven to be blatant discrimination. Faith was a minority at that school, the majority of the kids being caucasian, and the rules were catered towards them. They didn’t take her hair type into account.
The people making the rules were not people of color, so of course they never thought about the issues that a young African-American would have with their natural hair. They should be allowed to wear extensions or whatever they want to make them feel comfortable if they wish. But it was too late now.
