When scientists paid more attention to the stuff the Octopus was guarding, they uncovered some signs about what it was protecting. The color was first and foremost on their minds. Every one of the 160 things had a peculiar milky shine to it and a tinge of teardrop milk on them. As a result, there is a dramatic reduction in the number of options.
In most cases, if the items in question were made of gold or have some other historical significance, they would not be this color. The experts were stumped for a few more days before they were able to identify the animals. They looked to be more unusual and exotic to the untrained eye than gold or silver objects. But first, they had to find a method to coax the Octopus out of the trap with a series of cunning tactics.
