Weighing in: Psychologist
Phantom pregnancies do not occur as frequently as one might think they do, according to Suzie Levesque, a psychologist at the University of Quebec who was asked about this topic by the Toronto Sun. Levesque was interviewed for this article. According to Levesque, women who are searching for reinforcement from sources other than themselves are more likely to have phantom pregnancies.
According to Levesque’s point of view, “the lady looks to be seeking benefits, but accidentally.” [Citation needed] To put it another way, by making a fuss over nothing more than herself, she is exaggerating a little issue and making a mountain out of a molehill.
