#4: Dargavs, North Ossetia, Russia
Tucked away in a remote, fog-shrouded mountain valley sits an absolute labyrinth of nearly one hundred ancient stone crypts. Known to regional inhabitants simply as the City of the Dead, the ridge functions as a massive ridge-top cemetery containing thousands of human remains from historic plague epidemics. Local folklore fiercely dictates that anyone who enters the burial complex out of idle curiosity will never return alive, keeping the bone-filled white towers completely isolated.
