Erling Haaland – Then
Erling Haaland had a pretty privileged childhood as a son of professional soccer player Alf-Inge Haaland. However, after his father was viciously tackled by Roy Keane, which caused permanent damage to his leg, he retired and brought the entire family back to Byrne, Norway, where they originally came from.
At the time, Erling was just three years old, but he was exposed to soccer almost immediately upon his family’s return to Byrne. Before trying out for an indoor soccer academy, Erling set a world record for the highest standing long jump (1.63 meters) at just six years old!
