At the age of 18, Raley opted to enlist in the Army National Guard. More than 200 combat operations and convoys were carried out by the soldier and his unit while they were deployed. Furthermore, Raley quickly ascended to driving the lead truck on all missions. They were like family to him over time and he would always defend them from dangers.
Raley’s first tour of duty in Iraq came to a conclusion in 2008. Raley was an outstanding soldier, but he was eager to return to his family.
