#11: The Gremlins Mayhem – Gremlins (1984)
VFX masterpieces tend to be a carefully balanced and finely-tuned mixture of differing yet supportive disciplines, and the Gremlins were no exception. The Terror Dogs weren’t just achieved using makeup- they were full puppets and claymation creatures combined with live-action and optical effects. Their memorable transformation scenes pushed the boundaries of what horror-comedy could achieve.
