#3: The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man – Ghostbusters (1984)

Creating the effect of a 100-foot marshmallow monster stomping his sticky way through New York City found the meeting point between absurd and utterly iconic. With the use of miniatures, forced perspective (a VFX master’s best friend before CGI), and a man in a foam suit, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man balanced comedy with chaos.
