Growing up
Being an African-American female wasn’t always the easiest thing for Grace. She went to school in a predominantly Caucasian area and always felt like she was the odd one out. She knew that she was different, and she learned early on that she needed to own it and accept herself, just like Cory.
Unknowingly, Cory and Grace had a very similar upbringing, they were both individuals who didn’t want to conform or let peer pressure get to them. Where the difference between them grew as a result of the bullying that they both received at school. It seemed it had a large impact on them both.
