Allison Schmitt
Allison Schmitt didn’t have what it took to compete in the 2008 Olympic Games, but four years later, she’d prove in spectacular fashion that she was worthy. In London, she earned three gold medals, a silver, and a bronze. In Brazil, she’d continue her multi-medal streak by taking home additional gold and silver medals. Again in Tokyo, she won another silver and bronze in two relay events.
She was nominated for the Golden Goggle Award for her outstanding 4×200-meter freestyle relay performance. In 2019, Allison earned a spot in the Michigan Sport’s Hall of Fame. At 31 years old, the Pittsburgh native isn’t showing signs of slowing down.
