Megan Quann
Megan Quann left her mark on the swimming work in the late 1990s, where she placed third in the 100-meter breaststroke at the national level. In the 2000 Olympics, she became the youngest medalist on Team USA and the second-overall youngest athlete in American history. Despite setting a new national record on the big stage in 2000, she failed to qualify for the 2004 Summer Games in Athens.
Not long after, Megan decided to officially retire and get inducted into the Pacific Northwest Swimming HOF. A year later, she came out of retirement and competed at the collegiate level. She would go on to marry author Nathan Jendrick, welcome a son and daughter, and enter the Washington State Sports HOF.
