Beth Botsford
Beth Botsford was destined for greatness in the swimming world. She started competing at the regional level at the age of nine, and over the next five years, she had dominated every age group for the backstroke event. At 14 years old, and with two national championships to her name, she became the youngest Olympian in American History during the 1996 Summer Games, taking home two gold medals that year.
In 2017, Beth returned to the University of Arizona, where she was inducted into the college’s Hall of Fame. She became the assistant coach at her alma mater and worked alongside many of her former Wildcats teammates.
