Allison Wagner
Allison Wagner comes from a family of competitive athletes. Her brothers played football and soccer, while she tried softball and ballet. It wasn’t until she was around five years old that she found out she had a hidden swimming talent. In 1the 996 Olympics, she took home the silver medal in the 400-meter medley and placed sixth in the 200-meter medley.
She competed during an era where dope testing was shady at best. It would turn out that in every national and international competition she participated in, she would only be beaten by proven dopers. Allison retired in 2000 but attempted to make a comeback in 2006. Today, she’s a painter and member of the Art of Olympians.
