Nicole Haislett
Nicole Haislett set a world record in the 1992 Olympics as a part of the 4×100-meter freestyle relay event. She also held the 200-meter freestyle record in America, which was broken by Lindsay Benko in 2003. In 1992, Nicole qualified for four events, taking home three gold medals.
After the 1992 Olympics, Nicole retired from professional swimming. She completed her degree in telecommunications at the University of Florida before becoming the assistant swim team coach. In 2004 and 2005, Nicole was inducted into her alma mater’s HOF and the Florida State HOF. While she’s been out of the competitive scene for almost two decades, she was right there cheering on her juniors during the Olympics in Tokyo.
