Nancy Hogshead
Nancy Hogshead competed in the 1984 Olympics, where she would take home three golds and a silver. She began competing at the international level at just 14 years old after breaking the first American Record. Not long after, Nancy became the first American swimmer to rank first in an international competition.
When returning home from the 1984 Olympics, Nancy gave up competitive swimming. She completed her degree at Duke University before interning at the Women’s Sports Foundation, which set her on the path of becoming an advocate for equal treatment in all aspects of life. Today, Nancy serves as the CEO of Champion Women.
