Remember when I mentioned that teacher pay is based on student test scores? That 24 seconds can make or break a lesson plan, believe it or not. All it takes is two students getting off track at the end of class, and it all falls like dominoes. Even worse, on test days, some students need every bit of leave and quiet they can get to succeed.

If there’s one thing we need all students to learn, it’s empathy. Sadly, kids are self-centered, and teachers are forced to deal with that downfall day in and day out. We all eventually learn that the world doesn’t revolve around us. We just don’t learn it quickly enough to help our teachers out!
