#23: It’s a Waiting Game
This one is a fine line. You have to keep the death glare going the entire time, or it’s entirely ineffective. If you can catch one kid’s eye, though, it’s like dominos. They’ll nudge the person next to them, and eventually, the class settles down. I wonder if teachers practice this look in the mirror?

I even asked a teacher one time if this was taught in school. You know, How to Handle a Loud Classroom 101. It’s not, but it is one of the first pieces of advice that new teachers get from their coworkers. “You just look at them like this, and things start happening quickly!”
