#43: Mixing Up Words
This can happen to all of us – it probably has happened to all of us at least once before. We all mix up words that sound similar, and usually, it’s not a big deal. We might get a laugh from our friend, and even have a good laugh ourselves, and move on. However, when you’re speaking in front of a large group of people – or children – that’s when you don’t want to mix up your words.

Instead of saying the word “organism” during a science class, this teacher said something pretty embarrassing. We can’t say it isn’t awkward, but at least she can take comfort knowing that half of the kids in the class didn’t understand this word, and the other half probably wasn’t even listening to her.
