#50: Questionable Side Gigs
According to the National Education Associate, nearly one in three teachers work a second job, some of which happen during the school year. That’s right! While we are home cooking dinner, teachers are out there tutoring or working different side gigs to make ends meet. They do it during the summer, too! It never ends.
Some stats say that these extra jobs account for 12% of their yearly income. Stop and think about that for a moment. Suddenly, we see Breaking Bad in a whole new light. Of course, it’s only a show and has nothing to do with reality, but it makes sense that a teacher would resort to desperate means when they need to come up with a large sum of money.
