Slaters’ Bridge (England)
The Lake District (also known as Lakeland) is one of England’s most popular and largest national parks, and it is inside its borders that this bridge is located. Every year, more than 15 million people come to the area to enjoy the largest lakes, woods, and mountains in the world.
The Slater Bridge, which spans the River Brathay and connects Little Langdale Tarn and Elterwater, is a two-part slate slab that was constructed by local craftspeople. In 2017, it was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site by the organisation.
