Royal Gorge Bridge (Colorado)
By simply staring at this bridge, we become dizzy. The Royal George Bridge has held the distinction of being the nation’s highest suspension bridge throughout the majority of its existence. For a period of time between 1929 and 2001, it was the world’s tallest bridge, soaring 955 feet above the Arkansas River.
The bridge, which is a renowned tourist attraction, is currently housed within the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park. At this 360-acre amusement park, guests can take a cable car journey to take in the spectacular vistas of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains.
