Mackinac Bridge (Michigan)
One of Michigan’s most well-known landmarks is the Mackinac Bridge, also referred to as “Big Mac.” It stretches for 26,372 feet from the upper to lower Michigan peninsulas, connecting the two halves.
Completed in 1956, the bridge has since become a popular tourist attraction due to its historic significance. Despite the fact that it is well-constructed and safe to traverse, it is not recommended that you do so when the wind is blowing heavily. Automobiles have been known to fly off the road when the wind is particularly strong. If you don’t want to take the risk of crossing this perilous bridge, there is a ferry service available.
