Thai–Lao Friendship Bridge (Thailand, Laos)
Southeast Asian countries are linked by the Mekong River, which can be crossed via a structure that we hesitate to call a bridge because it is so long and narrow.
You can stroll across the “bridge” in the majority of cases if you’re an experienced slackliner. In order to cross the raging rapids below the “bridge,” most of us would have to be completely insane. In contrast, for the brave locals who live near the wire bridge, it is an everyday part of life.
Thailand and Laos, on the other hand, have opted to build the Friendship Bridge, which will be the world’s first bridge to span the lower Mekong River. A link between the two countries will be established.
