#6: Black Sabbath — “Paranoid”
In 1970, they finished their second album but found the total runtime to be too short. The producer told them to write a quick filler song in the studio. Tony Iommi, the guitarist, came up with the main riff in just five minutes while the rest of the band was eating their lunch. The words were sung by Ozzy Osbourne straight from a notebook.
