#6: Mimeograph Paper and Its Distinct Purple Ink  

Before photocopiers dominated schools, mimeograph machines produced worksheets with a distinctive purple ink. The smell alone is unforgettable to many who used them. Sheets were slightly damp when freshly printed, adding a tactile element to handouts. It gave everyday classroom materials a recognizable and oddly nostalgic identity.
