#15: Why Airplane Windows Are Oval  

Early airplanes had square windows, which led to structural failures. Sharp corners created stress concentrations that caused cracks under pressure. Engineers redesigned windows with rounded edges to distribute stress evenly. The oval shape greatly improved safety and is now standard across aircraft.
