#6: Manually Wringing Water from Wet Laundry
Washing clothes was only half the job, as removing excess water required physical effort. Laundry was wrung by hand or fed through hand-cranked rollers to squeeze out moisture. This step made drying faster but demanded strength and patience. It also added another layer of labor to an already time-consuming chore.
