#17: Jack Nicholson
Jack Nicholson was born in Neptune, New Jersey, in 1937 and grew up believing his grandparents, Ethel May and John Nicholson, were his parents. The woman he knew as his older sister, June, was actually his biological mother. The family kept the secret for decades. Nicholson didn’t learn the unbelievable truth until 1974. He was 37 and already a major movie star when a magazine reporter uncovered the family history while doing research. In an instant, his entire personal history was rewritten. His “sister” Lorraine was actually his aunt.
