At one point, Snakes on a Plane was renamed Pacific Air Flight 121 in an effort to sound more conventional. Samuel L. Jackson objected publicly, arguing that the original title was the entire appeal. The studio reversed course, illustrating how sometimes the simplest idea is the strongest.
