#15: “Pink Houses” – John Mellencamp (1983)
Although it is catchy and upbeat, John Mellencamp’s “Pink Houses” is a sarcastic commentary on the unreachable American Dream. But we can ignore that because the refrain – “Ain’t that America” – is so fun to sing.
