#16: Bowlers and Their Unwashed Lucky Towels
A towel in a bowling bag may look like nothing special, but to the person using it frame after frame, it can become part of the whole rhythm. Bowlers rely on touch, timing, lane feel, oil patterns, and repetition, so it is easy to see how a certain towel, shirt, wrist tape, or pre-shot routine can start feeling lucky during a good run. Refusing to wash a towel is not about hygiene advice so much as superstition’s familiar logic: if things are working, do not disturb them.
