#44: The Disappearance of the Jamison Family
October 8th, 2008, was the last day anyone ever saw the Jamison family again. Made up of father Bobby Dale, mother Sherilyn Leighann, and their 6-year-old daughter, Madyson Stormy Star, they were considered a regular family living in Eufaula, Oklahoma. The disappearance of the family shocked their community and the world because it was almost as if they left without a trace. Eight days after they were last seen, a major discovery was made in the case after hunters in the woods discovered an abandoned truck that was locked. This truck belonged to the Jamisons…
Once the authorities began investigating, they found Bobby and Sherilyn’s wallets, a GPS, Bobby’s phone, $32,000 in a bag, and their pet dog, Maisy, who was found alive in the car but extremely malnourished. Upon inspection, the truck didn’t give the authorities to believe that there had been any struggle or foul play. Investigators took a lead from the GPS in the car and began a search party with 300 people looking for any clues on October 17. The search party was called off due to a lack of findings, and the case remained open. On November 16, 2013, hunters found the remains of three bodies less than 3 miles from where their truck was parked. After 4 years, the bones were confirmed to be those of the Jamisons, no cause of death was acknowledged, and to this day, no one knows what happened.
