#26: The Transparent People
Some people are transparent in the sense that they are ignored; we tend not to notice the people around us who provide us different services, like the janitors at school, at our building, or at work. One day, this person noticed their janitor at work was treated like an outcast and decided he had to do something about it.
He made the smallest gesture – drinking coffee with him at the front gate each morning. It must have made all the difference in the world for this janitor. For this man, it was just coffee- something he would’ve done anyway, but for this janitor, it meant finally having a friend and someone to talk to at work. He wasn’t transparent anymore.
