#20: Slide Rules for Math
In order to use a slide rule to figure out math equations, you had to be smart enough to figure out how the slide rule worked! By adding or subtracting the numerical exponents of numbers for multiplication or division, a slide rule would answer questions faster than pen and paper. Today, we have smartphones in our pockets with complex calculator features, rendering the slide rule a true relic from the distant past.
