#23: Déjà Vu, Who?
According to the Cleveland Clinic, a whopping 97% of people have reported experiencing déjà vu at least once in their lives. Déjà vu, a French phrase that translates into “already seen,” is the uncanny feeling that you’ve experienced an exact moment or place before. You’ve probably had an experience of déjà vu at least once. It’s pretty weird.
So why does this happen? Are we all just psychic and don’t know it? Well, no. The reality of why déjà vu happens is just as cool as being psychic, though. When experiencing déjà vu, our brains basically create an illusion. This weird feeling happens when there’s a disconnect or miscommunication between the two temporal lobes.
