#1: Smoking Everywhere
Here’s a great example of ignorance being anything but bliss. Because the dangers and risks of cigarette usage weren’t mainstream information, smokers would light up just about anywhere, even around children or in doctor’s offices. Many people even have stories of their dentists smoking while taking care of patients’ teeth! Though it was a blessing to eventually have non-smoking sections in restaurants, the almost complete eradication of smoker-friendly spaces has led to cleaner air for the rest of the population.
