In days gone by, societies possessed a sense of togetherness that seems absent in today’s more modernized world. Parents didn’t worry as much whether or not their kids would get to school and back again safely because there was a sense that society was looking out for them. However, with a rise in heavy traffic and both urban and suburban crimes, many parents feel that letting their kids walk to school on their own is too risky.
