#16: Making Mix-Tapes
Making a playlist back in the day used to be a real labor of love. Whether you were recording tracks from the radio or hand-selecting songs from your own vinyl collection (or your older brother’s), the mixtape was something truly personal. Perfect for road trips or for telling that special someone how you feel, the cultural implications of mixtapes are still alive and well, though the digital versions that kids today have exposure to just don’t stack up to the original thing.
