It can be hard being a stray animal that has lived most of its life out on the streets. Unfortunately, a lot of animals don’t know what it is like to have a home or be part of a family that loves them. We are not saying that all animals belong in a home as a pet, but domestic animals, they need someone to look after them. They are our friends after all, and we should try our best to make sure that they are healthy and looked out for. Who knows, maybe one day you may come back as an animal in another life and you would want someone to show you some kindness. But until that day comes, all you can do is be respectful and nice to all animals and people around you. Not just because of the laws of karma, but just because that’s what being a good person is all about.
Meet James
James was just a young boy at the time of this story, he was in elementary school and life was all new to him. He didn’t know much about the real world and the things that took place outside of his neighborhood. He was just a regular kid who liked going outside and playing.
James didn’t really have too many friends growing up because his house was farther away from the rest of the kids that he went to school with. This meant that it was hard at times to meet up with other kids during the weekend and play outside spontaneously. James sometimes felt alone.
