There are about a million homeless dogs in the United States of America alone, we can’t imagine what that number is worldwide. It must be very large because, in America, the shelter and services for stray dogs are actually quite effective. They do a good job of keeping them off the street.

But still, many dogs spend most of their lives in shelters or outside, in the streets, either alone or with a pack of other dogs. It’s a hard life and although they may look like they’ll be okay, many of them face a terrible end. They need someone to look out for them after all.
