#30: Mexico, the Land of Contrasts
Look, I totally get the irritation of having your entire homeland and culture boiled down to a couple of basic stereotypes as portrayed in movies and TV. Mexico is a large land, geographically speaking, and it covers a lot of different climates. It’s not all one type of landscape.
That said, this girl’s indignation might be just a touch overblown. Mexico may be home to many different sorts of climates and landscapes, but it’s also definitely home to the largest desert in North America. It’s not that ridiculous that the American she was talking to associates deserts with Mexico.
