Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn kept their relationship mostly private from 2017 until their breakup in 2023. Reports suggested Alwyn struggled with Swift’s extraordinary level of fame outside their private life together. He later said public discussion of their breakup made an already painful experience much more difficult.
